Well known international standard to respond to Italian and European customers. It's been drawn up by BRC (British Retail Consortium), a trade association that represent the major interests of the mass retailers in Great Britain.

Developed by BDH (which represents the interests of large retailers German) and FCD (which represents the interests of large retailers and business French), as a result of food security and the role of the mass retailers as a producer of reference (brand products -- private label).
